During our 5 days Kenya classic safari, you will journey through Samburu Game Reserve, breathtaking Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Masai Mara. Samburu Game Reserve is an eminent destination in Northern Kenya. It is safe haven for the Samburu Special Five:- Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Somali Ostrich, and Gerenuk. You will easily spot huge herds of elephants on your game drive. Predators like the Cheetah, Leopard, and Lion are also present. Your next destination is the Great Rift Valley. Lake Nakuru is a birding paradise with over 400 species. The destination is renowned for colonies of flamingos. “The Greatest Bird Spectacle” savannah grasslands have numerous wildlife. It is home to the endangered Rhinos and Rothschild’s giraffe. Waterbucks, eland, zebra, buffalos, hyrax, gazelles, impalas, and lions are habitats of the Lake. After your scenic game drive, you can choose to go hiking. On your way, you will stop by Thompson’s falls for prolific pictures.

Travel to Lake Naivasha, an all-year-round destination. Capture beautiful pictures in the morning at Crescent Island. Spot bloat of hippos and the African fish eagle. Other animals to encounter include; buffalo, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, and topi. Watching wildlife is best during the dry season. The fauna flock by the water sources.

Your journey ends at the iconic Masai Mara Reserve. The endless plains stretch over 1,510 square kilometers. The Talek River, Sand River, and Mara River are the source of life in the reserve. Admire the natural heterogeneity of wildlife at the conservation at your own pace. Lucky for you, this is an all-year-round destination regardless of the time of your visit.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Nairobi

Nairobi

A member of Sumpton Safaris will pick you up on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer you to a hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve

Samburu Game Reserve

You will travel to Samburu Game Driver and enjoy a sumptuous meal. On morning and evening game drives, you will explore the beautiful hills and rough terrains. Watch the birds, the Big Five, and other animals. During your stay, you will reside at the magnificent Samburu hotel.

Day 3: Samburu- Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

After taking an early breakfast, you will hit the road to Lake Nakuru. Various activities await at the pink lake. You will watch the birds and spot the animals on the magical in the beautiful rugged scenery. Picknick, hiking, and camping activities are also available.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara Game Reserve

Start your day on a boat ride at the scenic Lake Naivasha. The birding Mecca has several hippos. On the boat, you can spot wild animals on land without scaring them away. Enjoy a guided walk at Crescent Island. Hikers can head up to the geothermal springs at Hell’s Gate for a spree bike riding opportunity.

Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve

You will spend the day exploring the wilderness with the help of your guide. Spot the Big Five on game drives. Later visit a Maasai Village for a cultural dance while you interact with the locals. Afterward, you will retreat to your camp and have an overnight dinner.

Day 6: Nairobi

You will hit the road from Masai Mara to Nairobi. On arrival, enjoy one last mouthwatering African lunch. A driver will escort you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your plane.
