DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

You will be met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and taken to your accommodation in Arusha town by a member of Sumpton Safari, where you will meet your guide and get a safari briefing. The fundamentals of your safari will be explained.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Morning pick-up from your Arusha hotel by our safari guide. The Masai grasslands with mild slopes and acacia bushes will be your route to Tarangire National Park. The park has common sightings of Buffaloes, zebras, elephant herds, wildebeests, and giraffes. You'll be escorted to a lodge, where you will stay overnight after dinner.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Ngorongoro Crater awaits after breakfast. After checking in, you'll enter the Crater for a full day of wildlife viewing from the crater floor and a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. You will experience Ngorongoro Crater's fauna, including the Big Five (if you're lucky). In the late afternoon, just before nightfall, you will make your way up to the Crater rim, where you will spend the night.

Day 4: Full Day Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you'll have a game drive in Serengeti National Park and have a picnic lunch. During July and August, hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and Thompson gazelles migrate.

Your guide will take you to the best national park viewing spot. You'll rest at your hotel after the day's adventures.

Day 5: Serengeti – Zanzibar

After breakfast at the lodge or camp, you will check out and make your way to the nearby Seronera Airstrip to catch their flight to Zanzibar. When you land at Zanzibar International Airport, you'll be met and taken directly to your hotel. A delicious meal will be provided.

After breakfast, you will visit Stone Town with a guide. Stone Town, Zanzibar's original settlement, has several impressive historical structures. You'll also tour the spice market, learn about Zanzibari culinary traditions, and taste delicious spice-infused dishes.

Afternoon beach time awaits. After the exploration, you will ride back to Stone Town or stay at one of the numerous coastal hotels or lodges.

Day 8: Departure from Zanzibar Beach

The remaining travel time may be spent at your leisure. Many exciting tourist attractions may be found in Zanzibar. Today is the last day of your safari, and you will be transferred to the airport. However, depending on your time and resources, you may participate in additional activities.
