5 Day Kidepo Valley Safari Exploration
There are 12 species of antelopes, including; eland, Jackson’s hartebeest, klipspringer, and eland. Kidepo Valley National Park is a birding Mecca. There are 475 species which include; Verreaux’s eagle, Gypaetus barbatus, Egyptian vulture, and pygmy falcon. Some rare birds, like the black barbet and Apalis Karamojae, are easy to find.
The semi-arid valley and rugged park have over 77 mammal species. There are two streams; Narus and River Kidepo. Make a point to visit the two tribes neighboring Kidepo that have harmoniously lived with the wildlife. It is an excellent opportunity for a cultural visit. Day 1: Kidepo Valley National Park

A member of Sumpton Safari, will meet you at Entebbe. Then a driver will transfer you to Kidepo Valley. The destination is between Uganda's border with Kenya and Tanzania. Watch the abundance of wildlife and profuse bird species. You will enjoy an afternoon game drive before returning to your camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, prepare for a morning game drive. With the help of your experienced guide, spot the Big Five in the park. The lions are commonly resting on gigantic rocks in the valley. Other animals to sight include; bush pigs, jackals, ostrich, leopards, bush-buck, and zebras. Head back to the camp for lunch. After relaxation, you will proceed to an impressive afternoon game drive. Pass by the palm tree through the hot springs in Kidepo River. Then head back for overnight and dinner at your accommodation.

After a mouthwatering breakfast, you will have a cultural visit. Adventure the Karimojong ancient culture as you learn about their enthralling traditions. Spend your day listening to captivating narratives of the indigenous tribe while savoring their local dishes. Then head to the hotel for overnight and dinner.

Take your breakfast and get ready to travel to Nakasongola District. You will visit the Rhino Sanctuary and wildlife ranch. Ziwa Rhino is a haven for wild rhinos. There are a number of endangered animals, and you can relax after a long day. Go for rhino trekking, bird watching, canoe safari, shoebill trek, and nature walks.
