The park is located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, and on clear days, the snow-capped peak of the mountain is visible from the park. The park is also home to several swamps and marshes, which are home to a wide variety of birds, making it a great destination for birdwatchers. It is home to a large population of elephants, and it is one of the best places in Kenya to see these majestic animals.

Once you arrive at Lake Nakuru, you will explore the scenery and view the wildlife. DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Kigali

A Sumpton Safari Adventures member will meet you in Kigali. The city has numerous interesting things to do and see. There are museums and cultural attractions that offer insight into the history and culture of the country. Some popular places include the Kigali Genocide Memorial, the Inema Arts Center, and the Kandt House Museum of Natural History. Once you are done with your exploration, you will be escorted to a lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Volcanoes National Park

After taking breakfast, head to the Volcanoes National Park, home to the mountain gorilla. The park is located about two hours northwest of Kigali. On arrival, the guides will group you and discuss safety measures. They only issue 88 permits daily, and each group can have a maximum of eight trekkers. You will have the opportunity to see these incredible primates up close. After spending time with them, you will return to Kigali after a memorable, unique experience.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking to Kigali

Wear appropriate shoes and clothes. You have another day to spend with the gorillas. Learning about their behavior and habits from your guide. Gorilla trekking exercise is a physically demanding adventure. Overcome the challenge as you hike through dense forests and steep terrain seeking the apes. The trekking takes 2 to 6 hours. Your driver will take you back to Kigali to spend the evening leisurely.

Day 4: Arrive in Nairobi

Arrive in Nairobi, Kenya, and check into your hotel. You will spend the afternoon exploring the city and getting to know the local culture. Sumpton Safaris Adventures customizes your city tour to your preference. We may take you to Nairobi National Park for wildlife observation.

Day 5: Depart to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, a Sumpoton Safari Adventures driver will take you to Amboseli National Park. It is located in southern Kenya, about a 3.5-hour drive from Nairobi. Admire the breathtaking views along the way. On arrival, you will go for an evening game drive and get a chance to see elephants, lions, and other big games.

Day 6: Explore Amboseli

Early in the morning, spend some time adventuring in the park and viewing the wildlife. The park is home to various animals, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, and many more species. There are several options for viewing wildlife, including game drives, walking safaris, and even hot air balloon rides. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Maasai dance performance.

Day 7: Amboseli to Lake Nakuru

The drive from Amboseli to Lake Nakuru takes you through beautiful and varied scenery, including rolling hills, forests, and savannas. Day 8: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara

Then head back to your camp in the evening.

On their annual migration, you might get lucky to experience the sounds and view of over 1.5 million hoovering wildebeest, and zebras. Other animals to watch out for apart from the Big Five include the; Bat Eared Fox, Copper Tailed Monkey, Bushbaby, Common Eland, Bushbuck, Crest Porcupine, and Coke’s Hartebeest.

Day 10: Nairobi

After breakfast, you will have one last safari drive at Masai Mara plains. Then you will depart to Nairobi. You may have the option to visit the elephant orphanage or the giraffe center. The Sumpton Safari Adventure driver will drop you at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the evening.
