DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu Game Reserve

Upon your arrival, you will check in for a short relaxation before noon. After lunch, you will head for Samburu Game Reserve. You are expected to arrive late in the evening. Once you arrive, check in at Samburu Intrepid for some sumptuous cuisines and an overnight stay.

Rise early for an early morning game trip around the Game Reserve. Make sure to capture pictures of the immaculate, pristine ambiance and surroundings that make up one of Kenya's best wilderness destinations. After the drive, have a King breakfast and morning rest. Take time to soak in the panoramic sightings of Grevy's Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Leopard, Lion, and Giraffe. The reserve harbours a wide array of wildlife, such as the predatory devouring vultures and seldom-spotted blue-necked African ostrich.

In the evening, head back to Samburu Intrepid for dinner and overnight residence.

Day 3: Ol Pejeta Conservancy

This day is set aside for a long stride of transportation to the highlands of Mount Kenya Region. After breakfast, kickstart your journey to the conservancy. You are traversing through the highlands in Central Kenya, filled with indelibly fascinating and mind-blowing landscapes. On your way, watch out for Mount Kenya, the tallest in Kenya, and runners-up in Africa.

Upon arriving at Ol Pejeta in the afternoon, proceed to Serena Mountain Lodge for some sumptuous cuisines and delicacies. From the lodge, enjoy landscape views of elephants and buffalo herds, quenching their thirst at nearby watering points as they satiate mineral needs via salt licks. The lodge is perfect for scenic views creating a utopia for photography fans and executive game viewing.

After this scenic view, head back to Sweetwaters Tented Camp for accommodation and dinner.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, leave Ol Pejeta for Lake Naivasha, sitting on the geographical floor of the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, check in at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge for short-lived rest and lunch before setting out for a water excursion and review. Enjoy your afternoon boat ride on Lake Naivasha, and take pictures of the rare species of birdlife, hippos, water bucks, gazelles, zebras, impalas, and warthogs grazing on the shore grasslands of this lake.

You will also have a chance to fish deep in the lake and onshore. After an enthusiastic comprehensive view of the terrain and water excursions, head back to Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge for dinner and a night’s rest.

Day 5: Maasai Mara National Reserve

Immediately after breakfast, pay a visit, and homage to the pinnacle of your travel, Maasai Mara. Given your timing of long rains in Kenya from July till October, you can witness the mara migration. It is the magical departure of the great migration of wildebeests and zebras as they cross over to Serengeti from Mara. It’s a spectacular scene to witness. You will be expected in time for a late lunch served in a vast myriad of traditional, exotic, and custom cuisines and delicacies, not to forget the executive beverages served once you’ve checked in at Zebra Plains Camp.

After lunch, head out for an afternoon game drive and schedule a hot air balloon over these grassland floodplains. Experience the setting sun concussion illuminating the glacial side tops of Mount Kilimanjaro and head back to your residence camp for relaxation and an amusing king dinner.

Day 6: Mara Game Reserve

Watch for buffalos, zebras, leopards, lions, wildebeest, and elephants during the drive.
