Nairobi

Sumpton Safari Adventure member will pick you up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. They will drive you to Kenya’s bustling capital city, giving you an exhilarating tour. Your city excursion will begin with a visit to some of Nairobi's most iconic landmarks and attractions. You'll see the city's famous elephant orphanage, where young elephants are rescued, rehabilitated, and eventually released back into the wild. You'll also visit the National Museum, where you can learn about the country's rich history and culture. Then head to the Giraffe Center for a close view of the adorable creatures. A driver will then drop you at your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Amboseli National Park

On Day 2 of your safari adventure, you'll leave the city behind and drive from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park. This exciting drive will take you through some of Kenya's most breathtaking landscapes, including rolling hills, dense forests, and open savannahs. As you drive, you'll want to watch for some of the amazing wildlife that calls this region home. You might see zebras, gazelles, and other mammals grazing on the grasslands or spot a herd of elephants or a pack of wild dogs as they roam through the bush. When you finally arrive at Amboseli National Park, you'll be greeted by breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. The park is home to several amazing animals, including elephants, lions, leopards, and various birds. You'll have the chance to go on game drives and see these animals up close, as well as visit local Maasai villages to learn about their culture and way of life.

Explore Amboseli National Park

On Day 3 of your safari adventure, you'll have the opportunity to fully explore Amboseli National Park and all that it has to offer. As you wake up to the sounds of the African bush, you'll have the chance to go on an early morning game drive, where you'll see the park's amazing animals as they begin their day.

As the sun rises, you'll head back to your lodge or camp for breakfast and a chance to rest. After a leisurely morning, you'll embark on another game drive, focusing on the park's amazing birdlife and visiting some of the local Maasai villages. You'll learn about their way of life and see their traditional homes and livestock.

In the afternoon, you'll have the chance to take a guided walk through the park, learning about the different plants and animals that call it home. You'll also have the opportunity to visit a nearby swamp, where you'll see a variety of waterbirds and possibly even spot some crocodiles basking in the sun.

As the evening approaches, you'll head back to your lodge or camp for dinner and a chance to relax. You might sit around a campfire and listen to the sounds of the bush or watch the sunset from the comfort of your balcony.

Depart from Amboseli to Lake Manyara

In addition to its big cats, Lake Manyara National Park is also a paradise for bird watchers. The park is home to over 400 species of birds, including flamingos, pelicans, and storks. The lake is a critical habitat for many of these species, and it's not uncommon to see huge flamingos gathering on its shores. You will journey through to the destination viewing the mindblowing sceneries.

Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater

The shallow alkaline waters of lake Manyara inhabits diverse plants and animals, including algae, fish, and amphibians. The park has several designated picnic areas where visitors can relax and enjoy a meal surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Lake Manyara National Park is great for photography enthusiasts to capture memorable shots. Take a boat tour to spot flamingos and other waterbirds. The hiking trails at the destinations are well-maintained. Connect with nature and its tranquil surroundings. Later, after your exploration, you will head to Ngorongoro Crater.

Adventure Ngorongoro Crater

Sumpton Safari Adventures better understands Ngorongoro Crater and will help you track the wildlife. Climb through the lush forest to reach the creator. The crater is a deep, circular depression, and its walls are steep and rocky. Its floor is covered in grasslands and forests and is home to various plants and animals. Spot flamingos, pelicans, vultures, lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and zebras. Enjoy birdwatching, cultural experience, scenic photography, hiking, camping, or horseback riding.

Lake Nakuru National Park

The drive from Amboseli to Lake Nakuru takes you through beautiful and varied scenery, including rolling hills, forests, and savannas. Lake Nakuru National Park is known for its large lake and diverse bird population. Engage in birdwatching activities and safari drives. After these thrilling activities, you will return to your Hill Crest Hotel to admire the arresting panorama and relaxation.

Serengeti National Park

Enjoy a hot air balloon ride. It is a unique way to see the park from above, floating gently over the trees and savannah. You get a bird's eye view of the landscape and spot animals from above. Many hot air balloon companies offer champagne breakfasts after the ride, making it a truly special and memorable experience. You will also go for a walking safari a great way to learn about the park's flora and fauna and to get a sense of the ecosystem as a whole. When you return to your hotel, cool off by swimming at the pools or taking a therapeutic massage, then eat delicious food.

Depart Serengeti to Masai Mara

Early in the morning, after breakfast, you are in for a fantastic treat when departing from Serengeti to Masai Mara. You can choose to take a road trip which is 8-10 hours, or catch a flight. Bring along a camera and plenty of sunscreens. The weather can be harsh.

Explore Masai Mara

Masai Mara is a true paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. One of the unique aspects of the Masai Mara is the opportunity to interact with the Maasai people, who have lived in the region for centuries. The Maasai are a semi-nomadic tribe known for their traditional way of life and deep connection to the land. It is also a paradise for birders. No matter when you visit the Masai Mara, you are sure to have a truly unforgettable experience. From the stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife to the unique cultural experiences, the Masai Mara is a must-see destination for anyone interested in nature and adventure.

Fly from Nairobi to Kigali

You will leave Nairobi and fly to Kigali. The city is a great place to shop and eat. The city has many markets, shops, and restaurants that offer a wide range of local and international products and cuisines. It's also a cultural attraction site. A Sumpton Safari Adventures member will walk you around, and afterward, you will drive to your hotel for relaxation and dinner.

Kigali to Kinigi

Enjoy a scenic ride from Kigali to Kinigi, located in the heart of the Volcanoes National Park. It is a popular destination for visitors who are interested in gorilla trekking. Enjoy your drive while watching the breathtaking view of the tea, coffee, and banana plantation. Observe the utterly verdant hills everywhere you look. In the afternoon, you might have some time to relax and unwind in Kinigi before dinner. Depending on your interests and energy level, you might want to explore the town or visit nearby attractions

Volcanoes NP

Once you reach the gorillas, you can expect to spend some time observing and interacting with these incredible animals. The gorillas in Volcanoes National Park are accustomed to human presence, but they are still wild animals and should be treated with respect. Your guide will instruct you on how to act around the gorillas and help you get as close as possible to these fascinating creatures.

Nairobi

A driver will take you to the city. You may shop for souvenirs in Kigali and have your last African cuisine before taking your flight home.
