12 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking & Wildlife Safari

Visit Kibale National Park, a delightful tropical forest. It is a prolific destination for chimps trekking and the place hosts 13 primates species. The park also has elephants, buffalo, lions, hippos, leopards, and giraffes. Unfortunately, there are no white & black rhinos, cheetahs, zebras, or wildebeest. Take a hike through the forest, or uncover the area’s hidden gem nature-guided walk. Your next stop is at Kazinga Channel, a famous attraction in Elizabeth, NP. Track down the tree-climbing lions on acacia and fig trees. A boat cruise is rewarding as you can spot animals without interaction. The destination also has mind blowing game drives that allow visitors to watch various wildlife in their pristine natural habitat.

Travel to Inshasha area, famous for the indigenous tree-climbing lions. It is a fantastic and picturesque encounter to watch the King of the judge tactically looking for a kill. Then head to the dramatic steep Bwindi Forest, where you will meet an experienced ranger. They will provide a thorough guide to adhere to on your gorilla trekking safari. The park protects the engaged mountain primates from encroachment. You will have food and drink at the lodge. You will also tour the safest lake in Africa, Lake Bunyonyi. DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival

Once you arrive in Kampala, a Sumpton Safaris member will pick you up from the airport. Luckily, you will have a city excursion if your plane lands early. Visit the famous Entebbe Botanical Gardens and the Mabamba wetlands. There is no better welcome compared to the sunset at Lake Victoria while on a cruise ride. Later, you will be escorted to your booked hotel to spend the night.

Day 2: Murchison Fall National Park

You will have a delicate breakfast before leaving for Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Afterward, you will head to the majestic Murchison Falls. Admire the rolling plains as you spot hartebeest, elephants, buffalo, and lions. Enjoy your lunch and embark on a boat ride safari to the base of the falls. Watch varying species of water birds, Nile crocodiles, and hippos. Take a thrilling hike to the peak, then head back to your lodge and unwind on your 12 days gorilla trekking and wildlife safari.

Day 3 - 5: Kibale National Park

After breakfast, a driver will take you to Kibale Forest National Park. It is a scenic drive with an amazing landscape. Transverse through lush verdant countryside, villages, and dotted tea plantation hills. The destination has a bunch of activities awaiting your exploration. The golden monkey, white and black colobus monkeys, chimps, and red-tailed monkeys are in high numbers.

Travel by road to Kasenyi Plains. Watch the leopards, elephants, lions, and the Cape buffalo on your way. Keenly Take a cruise at the Kazinga Channel, which joins Lake Edward and Lake George. At the shores, witness a range of colorful birds. Catch sight of crocodiles, elephants, and hippos. Later on, take a hike over the twin lakes.

Day 7: Bwindi National Park

After your delicate breakfast, a trekking guide will pick you up from the accommodation. Traverse through the misty, verdant forest as you seek chimps and gorillas. The journey takes approximately 1 to 8 hours. You will have an hour to admire the primates. If you are not tired, visit the neighboring community or take a guided nature walk in the evening.

Day 8: Lake Bunyonyi

After a long wildlife and gorilla trekking safari, head to Lake Bunyonyi to unwind. Test your underline rush on a zip lining, kayaking, or taking a canoe trip. Day 11: Lake Mburo National Park

Your driver will pick you up from the lodge in the morning and transfer you to Lake Mburo. Despite this being the smallest park in the country, you will easily spot Giraffes, zebras, and other animals. Enjoy a scenic night game drive as you witness nocturnal creatures like leopards, hyenas, snakes, and owls.

Day 12: Departure

Enjoy your last African breakfast at Mburo NP. A guide will take you on a hike to admire the beautiful lake Mburo. You are in a better position at the hill's peak of 9 other lakes neighboring this Lake. You will return to your lodge for lunch and check out. A driver will drop you at Entebbe International airport to connect with your home flight.
